This pet health care information is from an article in one of my professional journals. Starting an exercise program for your pet. Cats need some interactive play time if indoors. There are many chase toys and lure toys available at your pet store and the food reward toys new and available that you put the "snack portion" inside the toy and kitty plays for rewards are all good. with dogs low impact walks especially in obese patients and starting out slowly then increasing time and distance is very good. Dogs with severe arthritic or cardio-pulmonary problems or owner disability may make the exercise option impossible so then diet itself is the only option so be consistent and stick with it.
