TP Swing in Northern Ireland caters for children

The introduction of computer games and play stations did for a while detract from the more traditional approach to toys that children in the 80's, and before, were able to enjoy. Now however there is a new appreciation of educational toys as well as the more traditional toys. This is accompanied by a growth in the use of gardens, to ensure that children are no longer confined to their houses when the weather is suitable to play outside.



Outside toys.

Better use is now being made of gardens for children with swings being placed in gardens, trampolines being set up on patio areas and large inflatable swimming pools being laid out for the children to enjoy. The fresh air that they will play in will enhance their health, and the physical exercise will strengthen their physique.

Art and Craft.

This area has been neglected over the past few decades but now there is an ever-increasing supply of materials that will encourage children to stimulate their creative ability.  The ability to play with plasticine and mould shapes and to create images that a child has in it mind, or to draw pictures using non-toxic crayons, all encourage the development of a child.

Indoor games.

There is a vast range of toys that can be played with indoors, many of which are specifically educational and developmental. The building sets will entertain young boys for long periods whilst girls can sit and play with dolls to their hearts content. Puzzles teach children concentration and coordination and are able to, by the pictures that the jigsaw builds, educate at the same time.

Computer games.

Children are now introduced to computer games at an early age, and these if correctly supervised, will allow a child to be able to develop hand and eye coordination, as well as to be educated. The various applications that are now available can be used to teach the essentials that are needed by a child before they attend school. Special basic computers for children as young as three can now be bought.
