Accounting assistant is a person who works some repetitive work related to accounts; their work includes clerical accounting and book keeping. Accounting assistant is helpful to the junior and senior accountants in assisting them in certain works such as maintaining, analyzing, recording, processing of financial documents like profit and loss account, invoices and billing.

In order to become an accounting assistant a person needs to obtain bachelors degree in commerce and along with it, BBM, BBA or specialization in accounting or any diplomatic course related to finance or accounting are required.
