Skin bleaching is a way to enable individuals with uneven skin tone, freckles, dark underarms, knees elbows and acne scars, and melasma to have a more desirable skin color. Skin lighteners are often used in skin bleaching procedures to provide a solution for these pigmentation problems. You could actually do these procedures by yourself; consider the following when you're thinking about it.
Medical Check-Up. Before you perform do it yourself skin bleaching, make sure you are physically fit to do so. See a physician or a skin care expert prior to having yourself bleached. You might have irreversible consequences after your treatment if you are not too careful.
Products. It is undeniable that not all the skin-lightening products out in the market today are safe to use. Before you use any of these products, look up reviews and gauge from the comments of it past users. Watch out for mercury, hydroquinone and steroids. These three substances could easily poison, thin or scar your skin during the bleaching process. You could also go for Kojic acid, licorice and Papain-based natural whiteners.
Instructions. Most people forget to read the application instructions of most skin lighteners, which is the main reason why they get undesirable results even with constant use. Reading the instructions is crucial; accidents could happen because of accidental ingestion or application to an internal part. The instructions could show the user what they could do in case an accident occurs.
Moisturizers. After the application of the skin lighteners, your skin could peel off due to exfoliation. For an effective skin bleaching process, apply skin-moisturizing creams right after using skin lighteners. Using these moisturizers could help you get your desired results better. Ideally, you should moisturize 5–10 minutes after applying the skin lighteners.
Repetitions. There are people who may not be satisfied by just having one skin bleaching session alone. You should only do skin bleaching again after one or two weeks. This is because excessive use of skin lightening creams may thin out your skin, and these could have grave consequences on your whole body.
Variations. If you are still not satisfied with your skin bleaching sessions, even if you have repeated them more than twice, look for variations. Many methods exist online about do it yourself skin bleaching, or you could ask professionals about the best products you could use in skin bleaching. The approach does not wholly affect the procedure; the products you use also play a role in giving you the results that you want.
